Key Responsibilities – Senior Cargo Assistant
In this role, you’ll ensure superior cargo services while supporting both Emirates customers and Ground Handling Agents (GHAs). As a Senior Cargo Assistant, your duties will include:
- Overseeing cargo services provided by GHAs to ensure compliance with Emirates standards
- Monitoring build instructions, space maximization, and safety requirements for flights
- Managing import cargo receipt and breakdown, resolving operational issues promptly
- Preparing and verifying accurate cargo documentation as per local regulations
- Updating and dispatching post-flight reports, identifying and reporting irregularities
- Handling cargo reservations and customer inquiries efficiently
- Resolving customer complaints, claims, and escalated concerns
- Providing guidance, support, and coaching to junior Cargo Agents
- Supporting freighter operations and other cargo activities as directed by the Cargo Supervisor
Qualifications to Join Emirates Airline as Senior Cargo Assistant – Guangzhou
To successfully join Emirates Airline as Senior Cargo Assistant – Guangzhou, you must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in airline or cargo operations, with at least 2 years as a Cargo Agent or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) regulations (DG certification preferred)
- Understanding of Live Animal Regulations and Weight & Balance procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email)
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese)
- Willingness to work in a shift pattern
- Strong commitment to health and safety protocols
