Key Responsibilities
- Set and monitor production goals (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures for the mortgage department
- Oversee loan officer performance and workflow
- Benchmark industry trends and suggest improvements
- Manage employee training, coaching, and development
- Ensure loan files meet secondary market documentation standards
- Handle member concerns and resolve escalated issues
- Maintain vendor relationships
- Analyze data and report key trends to senior leadership
- Stay up to date with mortgage laws and regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field — or equivalent relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage compliance, production, or secondary market regulations
- Prior supervisory experience leading a mortgage team
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending and origination systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and solve problems with sound judgment
- Flexible schedule availability, including occasional nights/weekends
- Willingness to travel as needed
- Strong work ethic and commitment to performance and attendance standards
- Ability to pass all necessary pre-employment compliance checks
