The Program Manager, Corporate Security is responsible for implementing and managing security programs including Cargo Security, Catering Security, Facilitation, Compliance Audits, and C-TPAT. Responsibilities of the Program Manager, Corporate Security

Program Oversight

  • Manage assigned areas within the corporate security function.
  • Create and maintain security programs that comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Audit internal programs to ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. and international authorities.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Interpret and apply U.S. and foreign government regulations that affect aviation security programs.
  • Update internal departments on new regulations and assist in creating plans for their implementation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies to address compliance and enforcement issues.

Collaboration and Training

  • Work with airport operations, cargo, flight, and catering teams to develop training and process documentation.
  • Build strong relationships with regulators and industry groups to ensure best practices in security management.
  • Perform site audits and incident investigations related to non-compliance issues.

Risk Management and Reporting

  • Create reports and dashboards to analyze performance and regulatory compliance trends.
  • Present data to security leadership and internal stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
  • Participate in internal compliance review groups and contribute to ongoing improvement of security operations.

Representation and Communication

  • Represent American Airlines at aviation security conferences, government meetings, and trade associations.
  • Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and updates for senior leadership.
  • Lead and support cross-functional initiatives that enhance corporate security performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the aviation industry.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience interpreting regulatory requirements.
  • 2 years of experience in project management or compliance oversight.
  • Knowledge of immigration, customs, and aviation-related regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

While no additional educational requirements are listed, candidates with certifications in aviation security, project management, or regulatory affairs will be highly regarded for this Program Manager, Corporate Security role.
