Your Role as Station Manager Boston
As the Station Manager Boston, you will oversee all aspects of Aer Lingus’s ground operations in Boston. Your key focus will be to maintain a safe, secure, and efficient environment while ensuring the airline meets its punctuality, customer satisfaction, and financial goals.
You will play a pivotal role within the US Operations Department, working to deliver seamless service across American gateways and strengthen transatlantic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities of the Station Manager Boston
Your main duties include:
- Managing the integration and enforcement of the Aer Lingus Safety Management System (SMS) and ground operations safety at BOS.
- Ensuring all handling agents and contracted suppliers comply with safety policies and service agreements.
- Keeping up-to-date with aviation regulations from EASA, CAA, FAA, and ensuring audit issues are resolved quickly.
- Training airport staff according to Aer Lingus Ground Operations manual standards.
- Overseeing baggage transfer accuracy to minimize mishandled bags (target less than 3 per 1000 customers).
- Building strong relationships with airport authorities like the FAA, TSA, Customs, and Homeland Security.
- Collaborating with the Aer Lingus Global Control Center and Network Customer Care to manage delays or disruptions.
- Leading initiatives to reduce costs, improve on-time performance (OTP), and enhance the Voice of the Customer (VOC).
- Coordinating emergency response programs and other operational tasks.
Qualifications and Key Criteria
To excel as Station Manager Boston under Aer Lingus jobs, candidates must have:
- Legal authorization to work in the US with a valid US passport, Green Card, or visa.
- Extensive experience in airline ground handling operations, preferably in senior supervisory roles.
- Strong knowledge of the Aer Lingus Safety Policy and the Station Manager’s role within SMS.
- Familiarity with US federal and state aviation laws and airport security regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
- Availability for 24/7 contact and flexible working hours including weekends.
- Ability to pass background and security checks.
- Excellent customer service awareness aligned with Aer Lingus standards.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
Location and Contract Details
